Addressing Urban Challenges: A Forum for Iranian Seniors in North Vancouver
Urban issues in North Vancouver are becoming increasingly evident each day. These problems significantly affect the elderly, often pushing them out of their comfort zones. On Monday, July 15th, "Yaran Club " Iranian Seniors Community organized a meeting at the North Vancouver Legion Hall to address these concerns. This event was held in collaboration with Skyrise Media Society, ensuring a well-rounded discussion on the pertinent issues.
Three city officials were invited to this gathering to answer the questions and concerns of the Iranian seniors. Majid Mahichi hosted the event, while Kiamarz Sadeghi and his wife were the main organizers of the session.
The officials provided the attendees with detailed responses to a myriad of questions related to urban challenges being faced in their area. They discussed the growing traffic problems, the scarcity of affordable housing in North Vancouver, and the ongoing issues within the healthcare system and local hospitals. This meeting aimed to offer Iranian seniors a platform to voice their concerns and seek solutions directly from the authorities.
