Build A Biz Kids Helps Kids Develop Entrepreneurial Skills
Host Cathy Cena interviews Leah Koss, President of Build A Biz Kids, a program which helps kids build entrepreneurial skills, learn to work as part of a team, and practice critical thinking skills.
By experiencing their potential through action Build A Biz Kids participants can see exactly what they are capable of. Confidence is built by giving them space and support to test their abilities and see their results. Students are not just learning the theory of entrepreneurship, but are gaining hands on experience by building & launching their own businesses. Build A Biz Kids participants also learn to develop resiliency, empathy, leadership as well as explore financial literacy, communication and teamwork.
The Build a Biz Kids courses emphasize hands-on learning experiences through real-world projects and are designed to develop foundational soft skills that will remain relevant for a lifetime. Build a Biz Kids is also actively seeking to eliminate the digital divide by educating and spreading awareness, as well as by collecting funds to purchase computers and upcycling used computers for donation to vulnerable communities. It is a community effort that drives our organization forward, and through the passion and determination of our team and partners we will continue to push the boundaries of traditional education.
The driving forces motivating Build a Biz Kids to grow and succeed include pushing the boundaries of traditional education, impacting the lives of youth of all different backgrounds, and bridging the digital divide. Build a Biz Kids is centred around providing youth of all backgrounds with access to practical education, preparing them for a continuously evolving world.
The Bild A Biz Kids program no only puts on camps to give kids the opportunity to build the much needed skills mentioned above, they also put on a speaker series that helps develop their public speaking skills.
