The episode kicked off with country music sensation Shawn Richard, who discussed his music career and role as manager of Drewhaven Town and Country in St. Andrews. His recent singles, "Campfire Superstar" and "Last Night Was Lit," were highlighted, showcasing his creative process and local roots.
Culinary Delights at the Capsule Restaurant
Vicki and Jonathan enjoyed a visit to the Capsule Restaurant on Deer Island. Chef Kyle Stewart, known for using locally sourced ingredients, served up crispy beer-battered haddock, fish tacos, and the Capsule Burger. The segment captured the restaurant’s essence and delicious offerings and highlighted the important role a small business can play in invigorating an island community.
Fashion Forward with L.H. Boutique
Spring and summer fashion trends were spotlighted at L.H. Boutique in St. Andrews. Owner Vikki MacDonald and her daughter, store manager Katy MacDonald, showcased the latest styles, featuring vibrant colours and versatile outfits. The fashion show provided a glimpse into the boutique's fashionable selections and highlighted the importance of supporting local.
Celebrating Local Heroes
The episode celebrated the Lady Spartans of St. Stephen High School, who won the provincial basketball championship. Co-captains Anna Somers and Beth Harris, along with coach Don Walker, shared their journey to victory, highlighting teamwork and community support.
