Interview with Nick Appleby regarding Allocated Funds to Parks

Flipping through the latest copy of the Municipal newsletter, Nick Appleby came across a survey for a 16 acre park in central Masham, called "central park". He then voiced his concerns in the local newsletter. He asked how it is that in Wakefield residents have to fundraise, sometimes for years, and volunteer countless hours to get anything done. He suggested that what is being proposed is huge and must be over a million dollars’ worth on top of the land price. He compared that to a small park that was recently built in Wakefield, for which the municipality did not give any money or offer any help. His frustration and the issues he raised led to a broad-ranging online discussion among residents. We contacted him to learn more about his concerns.
