New CAO Troy MacCulloch Takes The Reins in Richmond County
HALIFAX - Canada is taking several steps to honour the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, whose 70-year-reign on the British throne came to end this past Thursday when she passed away at her summer home in Balmoral, Scotland at the age of 96.
Nova Scotia Lieutenant-Governor Arthur J. LeBlanc, one of four Atlantic Canadian representatives of the British Crown to officially recognize King Charles III as Canada's sovereign on Monday, offered Nova Scotia's official condolences with a seven-and-a-half-minute-long video message made available to Telile Community Television by the Province of Nova Scotia, Communications Nova Scotia, and LeBlanc's office itself.
"She made five trips to Nova Scotia," the Lieutenant-Governor recalled.
"In November 1951, the then-Princess Elizabeth first visited Nova Scotia, as part of a pan-Canadian tour on behalf of her father, King George VI, and she was accompanied by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh. During this visit and all of her other subsequent trips, she was met with great enthusiasm and joy."

Vichie is hopeful to secure provincial and federal environmental assessment approvals by the end of 2022 and launch constructions on the green-energy strategy early in the following year, with completion targeted for 2025.
