Small Town Closures- COVID 19 Update March 20

The HUB Online Networks COVID-19 update for March 20, 2020 includes: 

Safety Mart  -- As mention our delivery trucks are arriving today, please be kind to our employees, and thank you for our cooperation. Also leave your reusable bags at home, and no more bottle returns until further notice, plastic bags will be provided.

The Cache Creek Vet will be open with normal hours, if you are sick do not come in.

Unitea, has closed their doors and have cancelled all of the upcoming live events. If you can please get gift certificates, or get take out whenever possible.

Star House restaurant is still open, but only take out and delivery is available.

The Cache Creek Village transfer station will remain open for the time being.

To seniors and those will disabilities, call Ester if you need grocery store pick-ups. Also if you would like to volunteer, call Ester. However, this group is not allowed to pick up prescriptions, but the pharmacy does have its own drop off service.

Healthy beginnings have suspended all classes this time, however healthy beginnings is available to talk, but no bouncy castle or fun day until further notice.

Costco pharmacy is doing prescription by mail. Set this up online at Costco.ca, and receive your medications in 3-5 business days.

Public Service Announcement -  STAY AT HOME IF YOU ARE SICK!

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is closing the border to asylum seekers. The only people allowed to cross the border are truck drivers bringing goods into Canada. But the borders will be closed to tourists, if you know anyone outside of Canada that needs to come home, get them home.

Desert Hills Ranch in Ashcroft. Desert Hills is closely monitoring the situation and every on the Ranch is happy and healthy, and will stay committed to giving their customers the product they love. Food safety has always been important to them, and are in constant talks with their employees from Mexico and Guatemala. They are following this information daily and will take precautions as necessary. Visitors to the farm are not permitted at this point.

The IDA Pharmacy appreciates that there is a large amount of uncertainty in upcoming months. They have increased our cleaning procedures. Please limit the people that can pick up and drop off prescriptions. They will have to close the stores on Saturdays starting March 28th. Some drug shortages will occur, but they are in good shape. Their supplier has started rationing supply, so that the bigger chains do not a monopoly on necessary drugs. Please give them extra time to fill prescriptions, and we will only be handing out 3 month supplies at one time.
