A Sneak Peek Into the New Media Gallery and Queensborough Bike and Run Event!

NewWest TV talks to the founders of New Media Gallery about its latest show, PneumoMachinic as well as bringing highlights from Queensborough's Upcoming charity event presentation to the city council.

NewWest TV’s popular show, Summer in the City, hosted by Deni Loubert, recently featured an engaging interview with New Media Gallery’s curator Sarah Joyce and Director Gordon Duggan. The discussion highlighted the world-class, hi-tech gallery nestled right in New Westminster’s backyard, and their latest exhibition, PneumoMachinic, running from June 9 to August 18.

PneumoMachinic explores the fascinating intersection of art and technology, featuring innovative works that captivate and challenge the audience’s perception of machines and pneumatics. Joyce and Duggan shared insights into the curation process and the global appeal of their gallery. "We have people coming up from Seattle, taking the Skytrain down from Vancouver, we have people coming in from Toronto saying they need to make a stop at the New Media Gallery," Joyce remarked, underscoring the gallery’s growing reputation as a must-visit cultural destination.

In addition to the gallery spotlight, Loubert previewed an upcoming fun walk and bike event organized by Guranak Free Kitchen. Scheduled to take place on July 14th in Queensborough, this event aims to support the essential work Guranak Free Kitchen does in feeding the hungry. Participants can enjoy a day of physical activity while contributing to a noble cause, fostering community spirit and support for those in need.
