Yuliia Okhrimenko: Great Easter Market Day To Support Newcomer Ukrainian Women

Юлія Охрименко новоприбула з України. Окрім основної роботи Юлія займається організацією Великоднього ярмарку, який відбудеться 19 березня у Вінніпезі. Перший ярмарок провели в листопаді 2022 року, тоді товари розлетілись з поличок за декілька годин і відвідувачі з нетерпінням чекали другого ярмарку. Цього разу на ярмарок запросили ще більше майстринь аби виробів було вдвічі більше, запевняє Юлія Охрименко.

Відвідувачі зможуть придбати унікальні товари, великодні страви, прикраси, іграшки, які створені руками новоприбулих жінок з України.

Головною метою проведення - це дати можливість новоприбулим жінкам трохи заробити на своїй роботі, а також зібрати гроші на допомогу українській армії.

Минулого разу на ярмарку зібрали більше тисячі доларів. На цей раз жінка сподівається зібрати ще більше грошей на потребу армії.

Юлія є засновницею групи Коло. Ця спільнота об’єднала більш як двадцять новоприбулих жінок, які продовжують займатись рукоділлям в новій країні. Усі вони приїхали в Канаду без жодних інструментів і приладдя, тому довелось купувати усе необхідне з нуля.

Юлія розповідає, що група є не лише гарною можливістю заробити, але й джерелом підтримки й мотивації одна одній, що дуже важливо аби адаптуватись до життя в новій країні.

Логотипом групи має блакитно-жовте забарвлення. Всередині зображено великий і маленький відбиток  долонь, що символізує руку мами, яка тримає свою дитину. Цей символ несе в собі особливу цінність і значення для Юлії, адже символізує мати, яка бігла від війни аби врятувати свою дитину.

Юлія зізнається, що дитина для неї найбільша мотивація рухатись вперед попри усі складнощі. Неодноразово Юлія хотіла здатись, але не може собі дозволити цього зробити. Найголовніше завдання - це піклування про свого сина, і не важливо яких жертв це буде коштувати жінці.

Yuliia Okhrymenko has just arrived from Ukraine. In addition to her main work, Yuliia is involved in the organization of the Easter Fair, which will be held on March 19 in Winnipeg. The first fair was held in November 2022, then the goods flew off the shelves in a few hours and visitors eagerly awaited the second fair. This time, even more craftsmen were invited to the fair so that there would be twice as many products, assures Yuliya Okhrymenko.

Visitors will be able to purchase unique goods, Easter dishes, decorations, toys, which are created by the hands of newly arrived women from Ukraine.

The main purpose of the event is to give newly arrived women the opportunity to earn a little from their work, as well as to raise money to help the Ukrainian army.

Last time, more than a thousand dollars were collected at the fair. This time, the woman hopes to raise even more money for the needs of the army.

Yuliia is the founder of the Kolo group. This community united more than twenty newly arrived women who continue to do needlework in a new country. They all came to Canada without any tools or supplies, so they had to buy everything they needed from scratch.

Yuliia says that the group is not only a good opportunity to earn money, but also a source of support and motivation for each other, which is very important to adapt to life in a new country.

The logo of the group has a blue-yellow color. Inside is a large and small print of  palms, representing a mother's hand holding her child. This symbol carries a special value and meaning for Yulia, because it symbolizes a mother who ran away from the war to save her child.

Yuliia admits that the child is the biggest motivation for her to move forward despite all the difficulties. More than once, Yuliia wanted to give up, but she cannot afford to do so. The most important task is taking care of her son, and it does not matter what sacrifices it will cost a woman.
