PETIT-DE-GRAT, N-É --- Les familles qui habitent la ruelle Lundrigan, dans la communauté du Petit-de-Grat, vivent la 5e édition de leur prélèvement de fonds communautaire. De loin, les lumières de Noël sont visibles pour ceux et celles qui voudraient circuler en voiture ou à pieds. Josette Marchand, un membre de la famille, explique comment le projet a commencé et ce que cela apporte à la région. Vous pouvez voir ces décorations jusqu'au 31 décembre de cette année.

Le tout a commencé il y a cinq ans quand son défunt père et son cousin voulait faire une petite compétition de décorations dans leur cour. Cela s'est répandu à toute la ruelle avec la volonté des voisins et la collaboration des familles associées. Chaque année, le groupe choisit une cause communautaire à appuyer. Cette année, le groupe a choisi la justice réparatrice et leur projet d'appui vers l'huile. Après chaque année, il y a des ajouts qui se font parmi les décorations et des membres de la communauté trouvent des façons d'aider au groupe. Ils ont même un champ commun où ils décorent avec le thème du Grincheux qui illumine un sapin communautaire. Josette mentionne que dernièrement, le groupe a ajouté un sapin communautaire au terrain de baseball. Elle aime que ce petit projet voit des agrandissements dans la région.

Pendant cette émission, Josette explique comment un groupe communautaire pourrait créer un projet comme tel dans leur coin de la région. Elle décrit qu'il ne faut pas faire grand et que cela peut même être petit pour faire une différence. Cette ruelle est maintenant un lieu de tourisme dans la région et ils rencontrent des individus de partout qui viennent voir les lumières.
