La Cité de Clarence-Rockland souhaite construire un nouveau hub sportif
Au cours des prochaines années, la Cité de Clarence-Rockland va entreprendre les démarches pour construire un nouveau hub sportif à Rockland. Ce centre où seront rassemblées plusieurs infrastructures sportives deviendra un endroit important pour la municipalité et les citoyens.

Le besoin d’un centre sportif fut identifié à deux reprises par la municipalité lors de l’élaboration du plan directeur des parcs, des loisirs et de la culture réalisé en 2016 et ensuite en 2025.
Un nouveau centre pour mieux répondre aux besoins de la ville
Ce hub sportif permettra d’inciter les gens à conserver un mode de vie actif et de contribuer au développement personnel et athlétique des citoyens. Par ailleurs, en incorporant divers terrains de taille standard, la municipalité pourra accueillir davantage de tournois, ce qui pourra stimuler l’économie locale.
Les prochaines étapes
Le 11 juin dernier, le conseil a donné le feu vert à la municipalité pour procéder aux négociations pour acheter le terrain où sera construit le centre sportif. La conception de ce centre aura lieu en 2026.
