SMC AGM 2023 v2

In 2023, the Schreiber Media Centre continued its mission to foster creativity, promote media literacy, and support innovative storytelling. Throughout the year, the Schreiber Media Centre shot, filmed and hosted a variety of events, workshops, and programs that engaged and inspired both the local community and media professionals alike.

The centre also expanded its reach in 2023, partnering with local schools and community organizations to bring media education to everyone around town. Through these partnerships, the centre was able to reach a wider audience and provide valuable media literacy skills to those who wanted them.

In this video titled “Schreiber Media Centre AGM Annual Meeting” the Schreiber Media Centre put together a vignette of videos showing bits and pieces of many of the videos that were shot from 2021 to 2023. This video shows everything from Canada Day, the Schreiber Discovery Centre opening, multiple Community Connection videos, High School Graduation, Schreiber Recreational Centre Gym opening up, Senior Centre Coffee time/updates, the quilt show, Read the News, The Voyageur restaurant re-opening as well as our most popular video “Schreiber Snow Storm”.

Looking ahead to 2024, the Schreiber Media Centre shows no signs of slowing down. With plans to expand its programming and reach even further, the centre is poised to continue making a positive impact on the media landscape for years to come. The Schreiber Media Centre wants to be able to train and teach others in hopes that they will go out and create their own films to help expand what it is that we do, to foster creativity, promote media literacy, and support innovative storytelling!
