The N-12 trappers association is responsible in the governance of the N-12 Fur Block. Members apply with SERM and also pay a block fee to cover association fees for the year. Fur Block members could apply for a parcel of land where they can practice a traditional lifestyle such as building a cabin, trapping, hunting and fishing. The trappers association holds regular meetings throughout the year which gives members an opportunity to vote, ask questions, and present ideas that benefit the entire association and its members. The executive positions are held for a term of two years. The new members will now take over the responsibilities. A thank you goes out to the previous executives who held their positions though the past few years, which was no easy task considering the pandemic and inability to meet on a regular basis. The trappers association is an integral part of the community and will continue to be in the coming years.
