Challenges of Local Palestinians Discussed at Winnipeg Foodorama
The Palestinian community in Winnipeg meets at Palestinian Foodorama to discuss their challenges in the city and worldwide. Palestinian Foodorama gives the Palestinian community in Winnipeg a new platform to show their case, organized by the Canadian Palestinian Association of Manitoba.
This episode of "Civic Platform" features Noris Zeid, Palestinian Foodorama Organizer, who tells us about the importance of Foodorama for Palestinians in Winnipeg and how they can discuss the best solutions to help them overcome the challenges they face. Zeid also explained the agenda, which includes various activities, the most important of which is the famous Maqlouba dish in Palestine, which Palestinian mothers prepare in Winnipeg with an authentic Palestinian taste. There was also kunafa available, Palestine's most famous dessert.
Zeid then expands on the importance of this gathering because it opens the door to building a network between the Palestinian community and the Arab and Islamic communities, which can understand the Palestinian cause and provide it with all support through these events.
Also, this episode of "Civic Platform" features Mona Abuamara, Chief Representative of the Palestinian General Delegation, Canada.
Abuamara is visited Winnipeg for four days to listen to the Palestinian community and learn about their challenges and give them tips and solutions they need to settle and build a strong community in Winnipeg. "Civic Platform" interviewed some participants who spoke about the importance of this event for the stability of the Palestinian community in Winnipeg.
