التاسع عشر من مارس ٢٠٢٣ نظمت الجمعية الكندية العربية في مانيتوبا مبارة كرة قدم ودية جمعت بين فريق الجالية السورية وفريق الجالية المغربية في وينيبيغ وذلك بهدف جمع تبرعات لضحايا الزلزال المدمر في سوريا وتركيا 

الصحفي زهير المصري من قناة يوملتي كالتشر استضاف الأستاذ فؤاد المازني رئيس الجمعية الكندية العربية في مانيتوبا وساله عن أهمية هذه المبادرة للشباب في وينيبيغ وماهي الاهداف المرجوة من هذه المباراة الودية ؟ 

 
فؤاد عبر بقوله " هذه المبادرات والأنشطة التي تنظمها الجمعية لها أهداف محلية وخارجية. محلياً يجب أن نشعر أبنائنا بأننا كالجسد الواحد نساند بعضنا البعض ونساعد أخوتنا في جميع أنحاء العالم عندما يتعرضون لظروف صعبة كالزلزال الذي دمر مدن بأكملها في سوريا وتركيا. خارجياً الجمعية الكندية العربية في مانيتوبا تعبر عن تضامنها واحساسها بألم الأشقاء في سوريا وتركيا وترسل لهم رسالة حب ووفاء ومساعدة مادية لتقول لهم بأن الألم واحد أننا في مانيتوبا نشعر بكم ولن نترككم تواجهون هذه الكارثة الطبيعية وحدكم "  

 
المنصة المدنية في هذه الحلقة إستضافة محمد الجميلي رئيس الجمعية السورية في مانيتوبا والذي أكد بقوله " أكدنا على شبابنا بأن هذه المبارة ودية وليس الهدف منها الفوز أو الخسارة وإنما نريد أن تكون رسالة من الأشقاء العرب إلى الأخوة المتضررين مفادها أننا معكم قلباً وقالباً " 

في هذه الحلقة أيضاً تحدثنا إلى الأستاذة جويرية لهبوب ضعيف رئيسة الجمعية المغربية في مانيتوبا - أطلس حيث أعربت عن امتنانها للجمعية الكندية العربية في مانيتوبا على هذه الفكرة  الرائعة وتمنت للفريقين المتعة خلال هذه المبارة وتوجهت بالتهنئة للجالية العربية والاسلامية بمناسبة شهر رمضان

Friendly Soccer Match in Winnipeg to Raise Funds for Earthquake Victims in Syria and Turkey   
 

On March 19, 2023, The Canadian Arab Association of Manitoba organized a friendly soccer match between the Syrian community team and the Moroccan community team in Winnipeg, to collect donations for the victims of the devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey. 

Journalist Zuher Almusre of U Multicultural hosted Fouad El-Mazini, President of the Canadian Arab Association of Manitoba, and asked him about the importance of this initiative for the youth in Winnipeg, and what the desired goals of this friendly match were. 

Fouad expressed this by saying, "These initiatives and activities organized by The Canadian Arab Association of Manitoba have local and external goals. Locally, we must make our children feel that we are like one body, supporting each other and helping our brothers around the world when they are exposed to difficult circumstances, such as the earthquake that destroyed entire cities in Syria and Turkey. Externally, the Canadian Arab Association in Manitoba expresses its solidarity and sense of the pain of the brothers in Syria and Turkey and sends them a message of love, loyalty, and material assistance to tell them that the pain is the same. We in Manitoba feel you and we will not leave you to face this natural disaster alone.” 

in this episode of “Civil Platform”, Zuher Almusre also talks to  Mohamad Jumaily, President of the  Syrian Association of Manitoba, who confirmed by saying, "We assured our youth that this match is friendly and the aim is not to win or lose, but rather we want it to send a message for our Arab brothers who are effected from the earthquake that we are with you heart and soul." 

In this episode, Almusre also spoke to Jouwairia Lahboub- Daayf, President of The Moroccan Association of Manitoba - Atlas, where she expressed her gratitude to the Canadian Arab Association of Manitoba for this wonderful idea and wished the two teams fun during this match and congratulated the Arab and Islamic communities in Winnipeg during this month of Ramadan.
