Taste of Regent Park is a vibrant weekly community market featuring talented local artisans, craftspeople, community organizations, food vendors, caterers and entertainers brought to the community by Fred Victor and Daniels Corporation.
In the heart of Regent Park, local residents and people from across Toronto come together every Wednesday all summer long to celebrate culture, share resources and access delicious, healthy, affordable and culturally diverse foods from July 6th to September 21st, 2022 at the big park.
Taste of Regent Park stimulates social engagement and inclusion, increase access to fresh local food, and foster local employment and training opportunities by providing a venue for local vendors, caterers, artists and performers to market and sell their goods.
RPFF Block Party + Film
One of the events that took place during Taste of Regent Park market was the Regent Park Film festival 20th anniversary celebration with a Block Party and free screening of the Film Encanto where hundreds of friends and residents of Regent Park enjoyed live performances at the big park and grabbed delicious samosas, ice cream, snacks, popcorn and drinks for free before the film in a family-friendly evening.
The event featured the best of Canadian artists, Pisceze, Kennen, David Delisca, Desiire and Community Music Schools of Toronto brought to the community by First Up with RBCxMusic.
The event offered accessible seating available throughout the Block Party and film screening for elders and individuals who require barrier free seating provided by Chartwell.
This amazing celebration was followed by a FREE Under the Stars screening of the film Encanto at sundown.
