On September 24th, 2024, Regent Park residents gathered at the Community Centre for a Neighbourhood Town Hall hosted by Councillor Chris Moise. The event, held from 6 to 8 PM in the Multipurpose Room, brought together key stakeholders, including members of the Toronto Police, MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam, and City staff. Regent Park TV was on-site to capture the lively discussions as local issues took center stage.

Councillor Moise shared important updates on several pressing matters, including the Downtown East Action Plan Reset, new encampment protocols, and initiatives like rental demolition compensation and community safety improvements. He also emphasized ongoing efforts to enhance pedestrian safety, expand the Bike Share program, and drive various neighbourhood projects forward. Moise urged residents to get involved in shaping these initiatives.

The event’s open mic session provided a valuable opportunity for residents to voice their thoughts and concerns directly to the Councillor and city representatives.
