Youth Entrepreneurs Shine at Neepawa's Annual Children's Business Fair
The Neepawa Economic Development's Children's Business Fair was a great success once again this year! The event, which took place on August 15 at the Yellowhead Centre, featured 17 young entrepreneurs who were selected based on the quality of their business ideas and plans. These entrepreneurs had the opportunity not only to sell their products but also to showcase their knowledge to a panel of judges who asked questions about their businesses and products.
Laureen Cabrera, one of the young entrepreneurs who participated this year and last year shared that her passion for Arts motivated her to join the Fair. “I started doing like art, making stuff and paniting ever since I was little. I’ve found it like really fun and others say I’m talented so I got to do all these things and there’s this business fair and you get to sell things.” said Cabrera.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony where the young entrepreneurs were recognized for their creativity and the highest sales of the day. This type of event offers valuable hands-on experience for young people, helping them develop business skills and giving them a platform to share their innovative ideas. The annual fair continues to encourage youth entrepreneurship and foster creativity in the community.
