Sheriff Andrews House 200th Anniversary Celebrations in Saint Andrews
The Town of Saint Andrews marked the 200th anniversary of historic Sheriff Andrews House on King Street with a celebration featuring opening remarks from Mayor Doug Naish and historical re-enactments from Barry Murray as Sheriff Andrews, Matthew Honey as Sheriff Jones and Norma Stewart as Mrs. Hibbard. Mayor Doug Naish. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the audience was limited to less than 50 people, but Charlotte County Television was on site to capture the event on video for a virtual celebration on CHCO-TV.
Built circa 1820, Sheriff Andrews House a Provincial Historic Site and a architectural gem illustrating the Neoclassical Style in New Brunswick. Sheriff Andrews House's 200th anniversary is also featured on the Town of Saint Andrews Official Town Coin for 2020.
