Low Entropy Update

Noemi Victorino bring us a report on big changes that have taken place with Low Entropy, a Tri-Cities service organization which provides a number of services for residents in need of support here in the Tri-Cities. Low Entropy runs programs which help immigrants integrate into our community, provides food for those in need, and assistance to those dealing with homelessness and addiction, and much, much more.

Much like Tri-Cities Community Television, Low Entropy had identified building a relationship with the Kwikwetlem First Nation as a high priority for their organization. Working in partnership with Ed Hall, former Chief of KFN, the board of Low Entropy has stepped down to make room for a 100% First Nations board membership, with Ed Hall taking on the role of Board Chair.

Low Entropy's Co-Executive Director Vanessa Wideski interviews Noemi Victorino, also a Co-ED of the organization and ED Hall to give viewers more background on the recent transition to a primarily indigenous organization.

Again, much like Tri-Cities Community Television, Low Entropy has identified the plight of the homeless and those fighting to retain their homes here in the Tri-Cities as a high priority. At recent community events where Low Entropy polled those who attended as to their concerns, results indicated that homelessness topped the list of their concerns.

As a result Low Entropy is holding an upcoming forum called " Unhoused of the Tri-Cities " which will be taking place at the Coquitlam Library's Central branch on March 1st from 11:45am to 12:45pm. Be sure to attend.
