This week’s lead story:
On Saturday April 29th, 2023, City Councillor for Ward-13 Chris Moise and his team held the grand opening of Ward-13’s Constituency Office at 329 Parliament Street (Dundas and Parliament). The new constituency office will allow City Councillor and his team to connect with Regent Park residents and also host meetings outside the city hall office. The office hours are Monday to Friday from 11am to 4pm.
The celebration had indigenous smudging, refreshments from the Regent Park collective, music, and many food donations were collected to support the Allan Gardens Food Bank.
MP for Toronto Centre Marci Ien and MPP Kristyn Wong Tam were among the visitors that showed up to celebrate the opening of the first constituency office in the history of Toronto Centre.
RPTV Reporter Kedar Ahmed was at the Constituency Office launch to interview City Councillor Chris Moise:
“It’s great to be here at the launch of my Constituency Office, first ever in Toronto Centre, we had a lot of people, about a 100 people came to visit here today. We blessed the office with indigenous smudging, we also had food from the Regent Park collective and my entire team was here. It is really an amazing day and I look forward to serving the community. People can come and engage with my staff and myself and to talk about some of the issues they’re facing and perhaps resolve the issues that they have and serve them in this capacity here. Please come to visit us at Parliament and Dundas,” said Chris Moise.
