Bridging Employment Gaps: Navigating Racial Inequities in BC's Job Market

These days, the provincial government of BC has requested citizens to fill out specific forms to investigate gaps in government services due to racial issues. A significant aspect of this important matter will be related to finding employment in BC. This implies that job opportunities may be limited to specific groups or races, highlighting the importance of addressing this gap. If such a significant gap exists, it could disrupt Canada's multicultural system, and citizens won't enjoy equal rights.

In this program, we have two guests from the Third Bridge Foundation. Amir Bajehkian, the founder of this foundation, believes that filling out these forms is crucial, and it is our duty to advise the government to address these issues. The next guest is Ali Panahi, a former physician in Iran who moved to BC seven years ago for permanent residency. He criticizes the government system in this province because, despite his higher education in his home country, he couldn't pursue his desired career. He believes that government forms are incomplete, and some questions are not clear or comprehensive. He hopes that Canada quickly moves towards eliminating racial prejudice entirely.

Amir Bajehkian, symbolically addressing the issue of systematic harassment of Canada's indigenous people, wore an orange outfit and hoped that by resolving racial issues, Canada would have a better future. The Third Bridge Foundation strives to connect the Persian-speaking community with other societies. Amir Bajehkian, referring to the foundation's name, mentions that many Persian speakers in Vancouver live in the North Shore area, connected to Vancouver by two main bridges. The Third Bridge Foundation is a symbolic name representing the third bridge to connect the Persian-speaking community with Vancouver.

In conclusion, Ali Panahi emphasized that writing civil laws alone is not enough; the execution of laws is also crucial, and everyone must strive to achieve it.
