On Tuesday, March 19, Naina hosted a book reading for "The Festival of Color" by authors Kabir Sehgal and Surishtha Sehgal. 

This book reading event focused on the Indian festival of Holi, introducing the festival through an engaging and interactive session, primarily aimed at children. The speaker Naina highlighted various aspects of Holi, emphasizing its colorful nature, cultural significance, and the joy it brings to communities.

The core message about Holi centered around the story of Krishna and his friend Radha, illustrating how Holi's tradition of playing with colors originated. The narrative explained that Krishna, who was dark blue in color, felt upset about his appearance being different from Radha's. His mother, Yashoda, taught him the importance of diversity and joy in differences, leading to the first play with colors to celebrate uniqueness and inclusivity.

The event underscored Holi as a festival that does not have a fixed date but is celebrated on the full moon in March or April. It highlighted the essence of Holi as a time of forgiveness, love, and unity, where people come together, play with colors, and move past their differences. The story conveyed through the book reading stressed on Holi's deep-rooted cultural values, such as embracing diversity, fostering community bonds, and celebrating life with joy and color.

Participants were encouraged to engage in Holi traditions, such as playing with natural colors made from flowers, sharing special moments with family and friends, and enjoying the festive spirit of inclusivity and happiness. The event aimed to impart a deeper understanding of Holi's significance, encouraging everyone to partake in its celebrations with an open heart and a spirit of togetherness.

मंगलवार को, बैरी पब्लिक लाइब्रेरी की पेन्सविक शाखा ने होली मनाई। जहां अनेक पालक अपने बच्चोके साथ होली की जानकारी लेने और रंग खेलनेके लिए आये थे। नैना ने सुरिष्ठा सहगल की "फेस्टिवल ऑफ कलर्स" पुस्तक का पठन  किया।

नैना  ने एक आकर्षक और इंटरएक्टिव सत्र के माध्यम से त्योहार का परिचय दिया, जो मुख्य रूप से बच्चों पर  केंद्रित था। 

नैना  ने होली के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर प्रकाश डाला जैसे की सांस्कृतिक महत्व, और समुदायों में लाई जाने वाली खुशी। 

होली के बारे में मुख्य संदेश कृष्ण और उनकी सहेली राधा की कहानी के इर्द-गिर्द केंद्रित था। कथानक में बताया गया कि कृष्ण, जिनका रंग गहरा था, राधा से अलग अपने रूप को लेकर वे उदास थे। परंतु उनकी माँ, यशोदा ने उन्हें विविधता और भिन्नताओं में खुशी का महत्व सिखाया।

होली मनाने की कोई निश्चित तारीख नहीं होती, लेकिन यह मार्च या अप्रैल की पूर्णिमा को मनाया जाता है। शर्मा ने बच्चोकों बताया की होली क्षमा, प्रेम और एकता प्रतीक है। जहाँ लोग एक साथ आते हैं, रंगों से खेलते हैं, और अपने मतभेदों को मात  कर जाते हैं।
