We, as women, have come a long way in the past few decades. However, our lives are still filled with challenges in a society that remains largely male-dominated. In addition to these societal hurdles, being a woman means wearing different hats - as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and professional. What is it like to be a successful woman despite these monumental challenges? The Innisfil Indian Association gathered six successful women, including politicians, a police officer, a doctor, a businesswoman, and a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, to explore this question.

The panel was moderated by Sudeshna Sahu, VP of the Innisfil Indian Association.

1. Lynn Dollin, Mayor, Town of Innisfil: Highlighted compassion as her superpower. She emphasized the importance of genuine compassion in her role and its necessity for understanding and effectively assisting others.

2. Andrea Khanjin, MPP, Barrie-Innisfil: Identified community as her ultimate superpower. She reflected on the essential role of community support in her personal and professional life and how it motivates her daily work.

3. Sheryl Sutton, Deputy Chief, SSP: Shared that her superpower is supporting others. She stressed the importance of community support for collective success and the significance of every community member in achieving it.

4. Christy Fines, Managing Partner, 400 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram: Discussed resiliency as her superpower, linking it to the need for persistence and endurance in business, community, and personal challenges.

5. Dr. Claudine Cousins, CEO, Empower Simcoe: Spoke about being comfortable in her own skin as her superpower. She underlined the importance of self-acceptance in leveraging one's abilities and strengths.

6. Col. (Retd.) Nishika Jardine, Veteran Ombudsman: Shared that her superpower is compassion and empathy, highlighting these as essential qualities for effective leadership and service, particularly in her career with the Canadian Armed Forces.

पैनल का संचालन  इनिसफिल इंडियन एसोसिएशन की उपाध्यक्ष सुदेशना साहू ने किया।

1. इनिसफिल की मेयर लिन डॉलिन ने करुणा को अपनी सुपरपावर बताया। उन्होंने दूसरों को प्रभावी ढंग से समझने और सहायता करने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।

2. बैरी-इनिसफिल की विधायक एंड्रिया क्यांजन  ने समुदाय को अपनी अंतिम सुपरपावर के रूप में पहचाना। उन्होंने अपने व्यक्तिगत और पेशेवर जीवन में समुदाय के महत्व को उजागर किया और बताया कि यह उन्हें प्रतिदिन कैसे प्रेरित करता है।

3. साउथ सिमको पुलिस सर्विस  की उप मुख्य अधिकारी शेरील सटन ने कहा की दूसरों की मदत करना उनकी सुपरपावर है। उन्होंने अपनी सफलता में समुदाय के योगदान को अधोरखित किया।

4. 400 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram की मैनेजिंग पार्टनर, क्रिस्टी फ़ाइन्स ने संघर्षशीलता को अपनी सुपरपावर बताया। 

5. इम्पावर सिमको की सीईओ डॉ। क्लॉडिन कसीन्स ने आत्म-स्वीकृति के महत्व पर जोर दिया।

6.  सेवानिवृत्त कर्नल निशिका जर्दिन ने करुणा और सहानुभूति उनकी सुपरपावर बताया। उन्होंने ये गुण विशेष रूप से उनके कैनेडियन आर्म्ड फोर्सेज के करियर में प्रभावी नेतृत्व और सेवा के लिए आवश्यक बताया।
