To provide more insight, Sherry invited Dr. Afshin Khazei, an Emergency Physician at Vancouver General Hospital, to discuss the differences between various healthcare services and how people can use them effectively. Dr. Khazei explained the distinctions between emergency rooms, urgent care centers, and Urgent Primary Care Centers (UPCCs). He emphasized when it’s appropriate to visit each service, helping people make informed choices. Additionally, Dr. Khazei highlighted the importance of knowing when to see a family doctor or visit a walk-in clinic for non-urgent issues.

Sherry also stressed the value of calling 811 to speak with a nurse for immediate advice. Dr. Khazei, concluded by emphasizing, "By simply making the right choice of healthcare service or calling 811 first, you not only save yourself time but also contribute to improving the overall efficiency of our healthcare system."
