Councillor Matt Djonlic discussed some of the most pressing issues affecting Coquitlam, including real estate, transit, and the cost of living.

While he now serves as a Councilor for the City of Coquitlam, sitting on several committees including housing, mental health, and finance, he has served in the past as a director on the board of the Coquitlam Library for eight years, and has volunteered with the Share Food Bank and the Coquitlam Legion.

Matt highlighted the challenges of housing affordability, emphasizing the need for smart urban planning and policies that support both homeowners and renters. He spoke about the city's efforts to increase housing supply while maintaining livability, ensuring that Coquitlam remains an attractive place for families and young professionals. More is being done about seniors living as well.

On transit, Matt addressed the growing demand for better public transportation options, particularly as the city continues to expand. He discussed the importance of improving SkyTrain accessibility, bus services, and overall infrastructure to keep up with population growth and reduce congestion.
