Benjamin Perry and the Fight for Climate Justice in the Tri-Cities

On Face to Face, Genevieve Kyle Lefebvre had the pleasure of sitting down with Benjamin Perry, a committed environmental advocate and a driving force behind Forces of Nature Alliance. His message is urgent and clear: the climate crisis is here, and our communities must be at the heart of the solution.

Perry shared his vision for bold civic engagement and environmental accountability in the Tri-Cities, drawing on years of grassroots advocacy and public mobilization. One of the Alliance’s most impactful initiatives was a townhall on climate change held during the last municipal election. With a packed room of concerned residents, the event placed pressure on local candidates to speak openly about their climate platforms and helped bring environmental issues into sharper civic focus.

But Perry’s approach goes beyond emissions and ecosystems. He sees the climate crisis as deeply connected to the Tri-Cities’ growing transportation and accessibility challenges. “You can’t separate the climate conversation from how people live, move, and work,” he says. “Affordable, accessible transit is part of the solution.”

Under the leadership of Forces of Nature Alliance, the movement continues to gain momentum. The organization works tirelessly to inform the public, challenge policy gaps, and create space for residents to become directly involved. Whether organizing events, canvassing neighborhoods, or contributing behind the scenes, volunteers are the heart of the work. “We’re always looking for new members and volunteers,” Perry notes. “If you care about this mission, reach out. Your voice matters.”

In a time of growing environmental urgency and rapid regional change, Benjamin Perry offers a steady voice and a collaborative approach to local climate action. His work with Forces of Nature Alliance reminds us that meaningful change starts in our own backyards, powered by people who choose to get involved.
