Community Services, Parks, and Protection are All Priorities for the City of Winnipeg - Part 2
With the advent of summer, the City of Winnipeg is preparing to protect its citizens in open spaces and public parks, especially with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This is proving to be a large challenge for society alongside the decision to open up and return to normalcy.
This episode will present a talk given at Winnipeg City Hall, which hosted several expert speakers to share their experience in this field. The session was titled Protection, Community Services and Parks.
This session is divided into two episodes of "Civic Platform". The second part features Dave Domke, Manager, Parks and Open Space of the City of Winnipeg.
For many years Domke worked hard to protect the open spaces in the city. He put his expertise to help the city to remain in a healthy environment suitable for its occupants. Open spaces in the city are an important place that must be preserved by everyone so that it is a suitable place for all of us.
Also featured in this episode is Cindy Fernandes, Director, Community Services of the City of Winnipeg. Through her position Fernandes provides services to neighbourhoods throughout Winnipeg.
Fernandes also seeks to provide the best services and facilities in cooperation with many parties and organizations to build healthy communities in the city to meet all the diverse cultural and recreational needs.
Part One of this talk is available here.
