Bridging Voices: How the Bandish Network is Nurturing Community Through Music and Connection

On Face to Face, Geneviève Kyle Lefebvre had the pleasure of sitting down with Nina Buddhdev, founder and curator of all events for the Bandish Network. With a vision rooted in inclusion, artistic expression, and meaningful community connection, Buddhdev is helping redefine how people across the Tri-Cities come together and engage.

Genevieve Kyle-Lefebvre – Local Journalism Initiative

The Bandish Network is bridging cultural, generational, and social gaps through the universal language of music. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a vibrant platform for building relationships, creating dialogue, and supporting mental well-being through shared experiences. Music is central to everything the Bandish Network does. It serves not just as a form of entertainment but as a powerful tool for healing, storytelling, and unity.

Through song, rhythm, and collective performance, individuals find a voice, connect across differences, and begin to understand one another more deeply. Buddhdev believes that music opens doors by offering a safe, expressive space where people feel seen, heard, and valued. The network partners with schools, youth programs, cultural organizations, and local groups to bring people together in welcoming, inclusive spaces. These gatherings spark creativity, foster dialogue, and remind participants that they are not alone in their experiences.

The Bandish Network creates space for individuals of all ages to express themselves, share their stories, and feel a sense of belonging. Whether it is a young person performing for the first time, a newcomer connecting through a drum circle, or an elder passing down cultural wisdom, each person is part of a growing community woven together by sound and sincerity. These small yet powerful moments strengthen emotional bonds and cultivate a shared sense of identity. Social media helps extend the network’s reach, but the real magic happens in person.

Every event curated by Buddhdev is designed to be inclusive, intentional, and empowering. It is in these face-to-face gatherings that healing, joy, and solidarity come to life. Looking ahead, Buddhdev is focused on expanding programming, deepening relationships, and continuing to create space where creativity and connection flourish. The Bandish Network is a reminder that when we gather through music and shared purpose, we build communities that not only listen but truly hear one another.
